We all think that our lives are stressful. There's a reason why the Calgon Take Me Away campaign was so successful right! Well I always try to keep in mind that as bad as MY life may be there are many many people who have it worse than me. In fact, there is a funny inside joke that I share with a few of my closest friends that when life is tough..."At least we're not----" then we fill in the blank. Thank god for Brittany Spears because for the last year she's been the BLANK. So anyways, this past weekend....my nieces disappeared. I'm gonna keep it 100- they ran away from home. I remember what is was like to be a teenager. I wasn't the most well behaved daughter. I had my share of drunken escapades. Then there was the time my cousin Jean dressed me up to be a Ring Girl for a kickboxing match....I was only 15. I surely gave my parents reason to send me to a convent. Thankfully, they never caught on to my shenanigans. So these two beautiful girls of mine decide that living on the streets is better than living at home. WOW! What could be that bad? Now, I KNOW what was happening at home....but I ain't one to gossip. RIGHT? So here's my epiphany. Life is bad at times. Things don't always go the way we want it and yes...there are many days that I want CALGON to take me away. Yes, I'm not afraid of identity theft, hell I don't even want to be me. But the thought of walking away from my family is scarier than anything else that my life can throw at me. And tonight, when I lay down to sleep in my King Sized bed that doesn't have enough room for me, Tim, Drake and Cooper (the dog). When I wake up sleep deprived and grumpy because I was sleeping on Hot Wheels, I'm gonna drag my lazy but outta bed. Get ready for work. Kiss my husband and baby, then thank God for my crazy, mixed up life.

Snow day in vegas...
We were treated to an unexpected snowfall this year. It came a week to
o early to be a white Christmas, but that did little to spoil the excitement of SNOW in VEGAS! The boys had a great time watching the snow come and go. Donovan and I braved the impending snow storm to run to the grocery store. We were just pulling into the parking lot and when the first snowflakes started. By the time we were done, it was coming down in big fluffy cotton candy flakes. Of course my
boys were the only ones in the neighborhood playing in the snow at dinner time. By this time, the snow was really coming down. The boys had scraped the driveways of all the neighbors in order to make snowmen. The innocence of making snow men, turned into
dousing each other in snow. At 9:30pm the Clark County School District announced a Snow Day, the first one since the 1970's. As soon as the announcement hit the news, the street was filled with kids. However, this being LAS VEGAS NEVADA, we weren't prepared for the cold weather. Drake's little hands were like Popsicles. Handsicles ....LOL. As much as he wanted to play in the snow, his fingers were like ice. I know, I know....bad mommy. But he was such having so much fun. I brought him in the house to help me bake cookies for the kids and for him that was a fair trade.
